Founded in 1954, Reinhold Signs has been Green Bay’s go-to name for commercial sign installation and repair. Our dedication to using cutting-edge technology ensures that we deliver only the highest quality sign products.
Gustav Paul Reinhold, with his artistic flair and sign painting expertise, joined forces with his son Gus Jr. to establish Reinhold Signs. Gus’s daughter Ruth volunteered her bookkeeping skills, recording the company’s first transaction on March 12, 1954. Initially operating out of rented spaces on Pearle Street and Velp Avenue, the business expanded in 1959 with the construction of a small sign shop at 1919 S. Gross Avenue in Ashwaubenon.
In September 1964, the partnership was incorporated, and in June 1969, Gus Jr. sold his shares to his mother, Tracy Reinhold. By 1973, Gus Reinhold Sr. appointed Conrad Reinhold as President and General Manager, and in 1979, he transferred ownership equally to Conrad and Ruth.
On March 1, 1989, the company underwent a split. Conrad Reinhold retained ownership of Reinhold Screen Print Graphics (later Colortech), while his sister Ruth Gage took sole ownership of Reinhold Sign Service, Inc. Ruth ran the family business alongside her children, Catherine and John. After four years of operating Valley SignCraft on Market Street, John joined Reinhold Signs as General Manager in July 1989 after selling his assets.
In the same year, Reinhold Signs acquired a crane to broaden its service offerings and purchased the property on Holmgren Way, its home to this day. By March 1993, John Gage became the sole owner of Reinhold Signs.
As the industry evolved from hand-painted signs to advanced technology, Reinhold Signs adapted by expanding its office space and investing in computers and design stations in 1994. The 1990s saw further progress with upgraded equipment, trained graphic designers, and the launch of its first website.
After 18 years with the company, Robert Ott and his wife Mary acquired Reinhold Signs on February 1, 2022. Together with the dedicated team, they are committed to upholding the tradition of quality and excellence in this family-owned business.
